Screaming Queens: The Riot at Compton's Cafeteria. Presented by Prof. Susan Stryker,  University of Arizona
A unique opportunity to hear from one of the leading scholars in this emerging field of historical research. Susan will be introducing her film Screaming Queens: The Riot at Compton's Cafeteria (made with Victor Silverman) – about the protest that pre-dated Stonewall by several years. Followed by a short interval and a Q&A session.

**  Susan Stryker: Trans activist and Trans Academic, Susan is the Associate Professor & Director of the Institute for LGBT Studies, University of Arizona. Her many books include Transgender History (Seal Press 2008).     We simply put into chronological order, drawing from our archive record of referenced material of 25yrs of factual personal experience of institutional & authority homophobia, hate crime, gay equality & HIV/AIDS awareness campaigning.
